Hyundai, an automotive manufacturer, has disclosed a data breach that has impacted an unknown number of French and Italian car owners, along with those who booked a test drive. Affected individuals were notified via email and informed that an unauthorized third party had accessed some information from the customer database. Hyundai confirmed that measures had been taken to contain the breach, including blocking the affected server and removing it from its network. The data exposed included contact details such as email, phone numbers and addresses, along with vehicle data such as chassis numbers.
