Apple has released a security update that fixes two zero-day vulnerabilities in older iPhones and iPads that were actively exploited in the wild. The flaws, collectively known as CVE-2021-30737, allowed an attacker to remotely execute arbitrary code on the affected device with kernel privileges. The update is available for iPhone 6s and later, iPad Air 2and later, iPad mini 4 and later, and iPod touch (7th generation). Apple credited an anonymous researcher for reporting the flaws. Users are urged to update their devices as soon as possible.
